Chicago Area (Cook and Surrounding Counties)

Our Chicago Search Department provides quality searches at competitive prices for properties in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will Counties:

  • chain of title with copies of applicable documents;
  • real estate tax searches;
  • special assessments; and
  • judgment and lien searches.

Our experienced staff and centralized location enhance our high-quality service to Advocus agents:

  • internal technology to expedite incoming search orders;
  • capacity to email search packages to Advocus agents;
  • Cook County microfilm (1984 forward); and
  • Advocus staff attorneys to answer questions about Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will County searches.

Title Searches (Advocus Agents Only)

Advocus Agents/Staff: When issuing an Advocus policy, you must acquire the title search from an approved search provider (see Regulation 3: Title Search Requirements):

  • Chicago Area (Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and Will Counties)
    Advocus staff provides searches for property located in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will counties. Order your title searches for these counties with Paperless Closer (login required).
  • Downstate Illinois (All Other Counties)
    Advocus staff provides search for property in select counties (Champaign office — Champaign, Coles, Dewitt, Douglas, Ford, Piatt, and Vermilion). See Order a Title Search to place an order or to do by-county searches for approved providers for all Illinois counties.
  • Wisconsin
    Find an approved search provider by typing the Wisconsin county name in the field on our Order a Title Search page.
