ATG® CELEBRATES MILESTONES

Two Million Policies Issued

Established in 1964, ATG celebrated the sale of its one-millionth policy in 1994. "It took us just ten years to double the number of policies sold and reach the two-millionth mark," Birnbaum said. "This is a real tribute to our 3,700 attorney-members and our fabulous staff who provide sellers, purchasers, and lenders with impeccable service each and every day."

 
Our Fortieth Anniversary

ATG celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2004. We've come a long way from our beginnings of less than 15 attorneys and support staff in a small rented building in Urbana. Now we have thirteen offices in Illinois and Wisconsin, five subsidiaries, and employ more than 260 people. In the 40 years since our inception, we have built a solid track record of success, both financially and through member retention and repeat business.

Congratulatory letters have arrived from several dignitaries: Governor Blagojevich; Illinois Senator Richard Durbin; Illinois Senator Peter Fitzgerald; Champaign Mayor Gerald Schweighart; Chicago Major Richard Daly; and ISBA President Terrence Lavin (below). As part of our year-long celebration, we hosted June 17 reception at The Abbey on Lake Geneva in conjunction with the Illinois State Bar Association annual meeting. As we did for our 30th anniversary, we will soon have banners hanging on Dearborn in Chicago. We'll celebrate our anniversary at other upcoming events, including our Top Producer Dinner Cruise (July 8), Annual Golf Outing (August 3), and Illini Tailgate (October 16).
