The Zoning Department of the City of Chicago will no longer issue Certificates of Compliance the same day regardless of the unit count. All Certificates will have an initial determination within five (5) business days (pursuant to section 3-33-045 (E) of the Municipal Code). The five-business-day period begins the day after payment and does not include weekends and holidays. Certificates will be available for pick-up after the fifth business day, unless otherwise noted.
