In a meeting with staff at the Cook County Recorder of Deeds Office, ATG has learned that the Cook County Recorder will no longer accept documents entitled, "Affidavit of Heirship" for recording. Instead, affidavits of heirship must be labelled, "Affidavit," to be recordable. ATG will explore whether this procedure can be changed.
