MyDec Required for All Cook County Conveyances Starting January 21, 2019

The Cook County Recorder of Deeds has announced, effective January 21, 2019, the requirement to include electronically-completed MyDec declarations when recording property conveyances will expand to include all of Cook County. This includes exempt deeds.

Prior to this, the requirement applied only to City of Chicago transactions. Read the details.
