Coverage:  This endorsement corrects a mistake in the jacket of the 2006 Owner’s Policy, mis-identifying the paragraph numbers of the Conditions that may adjust the Amount of Insurance on the policy. After the Board of Governors of the American Land Title Association (ALTA) approved its 2006 title insurance policy forms, it discovered an error in the Conditions section of the Owner’s Policy under the definition of “Amount of Insurance.” The text erroneously referred to Sections 11 and 12 of the Conditions when the correct references are Sections 10 and 11. By the time the error was discovered, ATG had already printed a batch of hardcopy policy jackets containing the error.

The ALTA 2006 owner’s policy jacket in ATG REsource® has been corrected to refer to the correct paragraphs. Some ATG members may still have hardcopy policy jackets that contain the erroneous reference. This endorsement corrects the error for the hardcopy policy jackets.

Procedure: This endorsement must be issued on all Owner's Policies where you are using hardcopy jackets that contain the error. The jackets with the error identify paragraphs 11 and 12. With those jackets, issue this endorsement.
