TRANSFER TAX ORDINANCES: Westchester

The Village of Westchester requires inspection of real estate on all transfers of ownership of real estate in the village. This requirement shall further be reflected on all real estate title insurance reports conducted precedent to the transfer of ownership to give public notice of said mandatory inspection.

Chapter 14.52.070 of the ordinance states, "Any firm, person or corporation who participates in a sale or transfer in violation of this chapter as sellers, buyers or agent shall be fined not less than five hundred dollars for such offense."
