ATG Honored at Chicago-Kent Alumni Awards Celebration

Named 2017 Institutional Partner

Chicago-Kent College of Law presented Attorneys' Title Guaranty Fund, Inc. with the Institutional Partner Award at its annual Alumni Awards celebration November 16, 2017, at the Palmer House Hilton. The award recognizes a law firm or corporation that has had a significant impact on Chicago-Kent and/or on the lives of alumni and students by assisting in the advancement, growth and/or development of the law school, especially as their involvement directly impacts students and alumni.

"ATG is honored to receive this award, which affirms our 37-year relationship and commitment to the school," said ATG President and CEO Peter J. Birnbaum, who accepted the award. "I am so proud to be an alum of the school. Chicago-Kent has consistently been the leader in trial advocacy, intellectual property, and in technology under the leadership of Dean Krent. I look forward to the school continuing its rich tradition of innovation."

Peter's 1983 Chicago-Kent College of Law graduating class produced some of the most successful alums in the law school's 129-year history, including fellow award recipient Illinois Supreme Court Justice Anne M. Burke, who received the 2017 Professional Achievement Award.

Peter served as past president of the Alumni Board and is a current member of its Board of Overseers. He was honored in 2004 with a Distinguished Service Award from the college and named one of Chicago-Kent's 125 Alumni of Distinction for his professional and community service achievements in 2013.
