ATG® HOSTS COCKTAIL RECEPTION AT ISBA ANNUAL MEETING

Attorneys' Title Guaranty Fund, Inc. (ATG) held a cocktail reception on Friday night of the ISBA's 124th Annual Meeting, June 23, 2000. Guests gathered on The Terrace at The Abbey on Lake Geneva, Fontana, Wisconsin, to enjoy the fine weather, good company, and excellent refreshments.

ATG® FOUNDER RECEIVES ISBA AWARD

The Illinois State Bar Association awarded the General Practice Section Tradition of Excellence Award to Stanley Balbach at the awards luncheon during its 124th Annual Meeting in Fontana, Wisconsin.

The Tradition of Excellence is awarded each year to an attorney for significant community service and achievements that enhanced the image of the profession. Mr. Balbach received the award in recognition of his contributions over his career to ensuring that consumers have access to real estate lawyers in the sale or purchase of real estate, including the founding of Attorneys' Title Guaranty Fund, Inc. ATG congratulates Stanley on this well-deserved honor.

Stanley Balbach receives the Tradition of Excellence award from ISBA President Cheryl Niro. In his letter of nomination, ATG President Peter J. Birnbaum wrote: "Because of his vision, consumers in Illinois and other markets continue to enjoy access to low cost legal representation in what amounts to the largest financial transaction of their lives. Without Stan, there would be no ATG."

ROLAND BURRIS JOINS ATG®

Former Illinois Attorney General Roland W. Burris has become a member of ATG. Burris is an attorney with the Chicago law firm Buford & Peters, LLC. His distinguished career includes a four-year term as Illinois Attorney General and a term as State Comptroller. Mr. Burris is active on several boards, including the Inland Real Estate Corporation and the National Conference for Justice and Community.
