ATG Founder's Achievements Recognized
Board member and founder Stanley B. Balbach, Urbana, Ill., recently received ATG's version of a "Lifetime Achievement Award" to honor his career-long achievements and contributions to ATG. Among his list of honors, he was recently inducted by the ISBA Academy of Illinois Lawyers Regents as a 2001 Laureate. Thanks and appreciation to our man Stan!

ATG Elects New Board Member
The board welcomes new member John G. O'Brien (Arlington Heights, Ill.). Mr. O'Brien and ATG have a longstanding relationship through ATG membership (John's been an active member since 1984) and through the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association, an organization of 800+ lawyers that John founded and serves as its chairman. He earned his B.A. in 1968 from the University of Notre Dame and his J.D. in 1972 from Loyola University of Chicago. He is vice chair of the ISBA Task Force on the Unauthorized Practice of Law and the Committee on the Future of the Courts, and is the 2001 recipient of the President's Award for Distinguished Public Service from the Northwest Suburban Bar Association. He and his wife Karen have three children.
