Online for the First Time

What a Difference a Year Makes

With large in-person events precluded under COVID-19 restrictions, we knew Harold would still want us to find a way to gather for education and the exchange of ideas.

We were happy to continue the tradition of hosting the program we have held so many years in Harold's honor, this year in an online format. Led by ATG Legal Education Director and program moderator Jerry Gorman, our speakers recorded their sessions in multiple locations prior to the event. ATG's Jim Alvis provided technical direction. Jerry moderated the program from a Champaign office conference room, with speakers joining the session live to answer questions. Despite a few technical challenges, it was a very successful morning.

One of the major upsides: We had 330+ attorneys participate! That's about 100 more than usual, and many were from downstate Illinois and Wisconsin, broadening our reach. We are delighted that so many attorneys were able to experience our premier legal education event. Here are a few of the comments:
