NEWS:
ATG Supports Charitable Organizations
Every year ATG gives times and funds to groups that assist those in need in our communities. In 2019, we raised funds and volunteered at local foodbanks (see ATG Staff Gives Back: Helping Fight Hunger in Illinois and Wisconsin). Our efforts supported two other well-known organizations, summarized below. From ATG Board Chairman, Bill Austin, "Giving your time is a gift from the heart." We are happy to say ATG, its leaders, agents, and staff show a lot of heart!
Cara
ATG is also a longtime supporter of Cara, We support Cara financially, by hiring Cara students, and by volunteering time in support of Cara's mission.
Cara helps people affected by poverty and other challenges such as recovery, domestic violence, episodic homelessness, or incarceration, to obtain and keep quality jobs. As importantly, Cara's efforts helps these individuals rebuild hope and self-esteem for themselves and their families. Founded in 1991, Cara produces hundreds of jobs each year at one-year, same-firm retention rates more than 20 points higher than national norms and with more than 70% of those retained residing in permanent housing in which their families can thrive.

The Jesse White Foundation
Every year The Jesse White Foundation delivers 15,000 holiday meals to senior centers and families in low-income housing. ATG President Peter J. Birnbaum, who has been the President of the Jesse White Foundation since 2013, along with his son Ben (13) assisted other volunteers with loading meal boxes onto trucks for delivery.
The Jesse White Foundation's mission is to support programs benefiting at-risk youth and to provide educational opportunities for low-income students. The Foundation operates the Jesse White Scholarship Program and the Jesse White Tutoring Program to provide these students with the support and funds necessary to pursue collegiate careers. It also provides support to the Jesse White Tumbling Team, which recently celebrated its 60th anniversary. At the recent anniversary gala, Peter had the honor of introducing Jesse to the crowd. ATG offers its congratulations and thanks to the Jesse White Foundation.
