We have also integrated Best Practices into our audit procedures. In addition to what our audit staff previously examined, we are now looking for Best Practices compliance. We understand that implementing procedures to ensure Best Practices compliance presents some challenges. It will take time. Rest assured that our goal is to work with you to help you achieve Best Practices compliance at the audit and in the months following the audit.

Contracts: Sterling Commercial Credit v Hammert's Iron Works — A construction contractor was estopped from denying payment or placing any restrictions on invoices the subcontractor was seeking to factor with a lender.

Mortgage Foreclosure: OneWest Bank v Sowl — In Wisconsin, if a note is endorsed in blank, the owner of the note is entitled to enforce it.
