Each year, ATG hosts theHarold I. Levine Real Estate Instituteto honor our great friend and mentor by bringing together guest speakers to discuss critical issues for real estate attorneys. It was Harold's life philosophy to enlighten attorneys to benefit their clients, society, and the bar.

The 2010 Institute,The Emerging Role of the Real Estate Lawyer after the Mortgage Meltdown, brings together speakers including Kurt Pfotenhauer, President of the American Land Title Association; Michael Rooney, Superviser, Title Section of the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation; Tracy Kepler and Scott Kozlov Senior Counsel, Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission. These and other speakers will discuss how lawyers can meet the challenges resulting from the crisis in the financial and housing industries and protect their clients and themselves under the myriad of new real estate regulations and ethical rules.
