Special Requirements:

• Final water bill must be paid and copy of receipt provided.
• All liens, fines, and taxes must be paid (cash, cashier's check, money order, attorney or title company check, Visa, MasterCard, or Discover)
• Inspection required five to seven days prior to purchase of transfer stampu
• Submit the Real Estate Transfer Declaration at least five business days prior to closing.
• Sewer inspection is required for all single family homes, including those with exemptions, prior to transfer of property. Contact the Public Works Department at 708.499.7748, allowing 30 days prior to the five business days review of the Real Estate Transfer Tax Form to schedule an inspection. Inspection fee: $100 payable to the Village of Oak Lawn. If an inspection is scheduled 30 days before closing, it will not delay the purchase of transfer stamps.
