NOTE RE Single-Family Homes

If you own a single-family home in this municipality and you sell that home and buy another home in that same municipality, the transfer tax may be exempt for the second purchase or you may be entitled to a refund. Call the municipality for the procedure for obtaining a refund or exemption. Often, the municipality will require initial payment of the transfer tax and issue a refund later.
