Jesse White Tumblers Celebrate 60 Years
Lifting up Chicago's Youth
The Jesse White Tumblers program turned 60 December 2019. Founded by Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White, the organization provides a positive alternative for inner-city kids.
The 60th anniversary celebration took place at the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 399 on Chicago's South Side and included many distinguished guests, including Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, who said, "Secretary of State Jesse White has set a tremendous example for all of us to follow -- not just as a public servant, but as a neighbor, a mentor and a friend. On behalf of a grateful state, today we honor Secretary White's dedication to lifting up our youth, to giving hope and inspiration to so many parents and families, a cause that stretches back before he ever swore an oath of office."
Longtime supporters of the Jesse White Foundation, ATG President Peter J. Birnbaum currently serves as president of the Jesse White Foundation board. Congratulations to Jesse and all tumblers, past and present!
