New Officers and a New Director

We are excited to announce the election of new officers to our Board of Directors: Steve Norgaard, David Dunn, Aurora Austriaco, and Jim Hallene; and one new director, Tom Hundman.

New Officers

Steven Norgaard photoSteven K. Norgaard, Chairman
Steve became an ATG agent in 1995 and was elected to the ATG Board of Directors in 2011. His Glen Ellyn, Illinois, law firm, Steven K. Norgaard, P.C., represents a broad range of individual and corporate clients in transactional, taxation, and investment-related matters. Prior to starting his own law firm in 1994, Steve practiced with McDermott, Will & Emery’s Chicago office in the transactional and taxation departments. He has served on a number of boards where he held various offices and committee positions. In addition to being a lawyer, he is a CPA. David joined ATG as an attorney agent in 2002 and has been on the Board of Directors since 2006, previously serving as Secretary. A practicing attorney in Bloomington, Illinois, for more than 40 years, he handles probate, wills, estate planning, land use, and zoning. David's experience also includes service to the Illinois Army National Guard as Lieutenant Colonel, JAG Corps. John Marshall Law School, J.D.; Illinois State University, M.S., B.S.

Aurora joined ATG as an attorney agent in 1999 and was elected to the ATG Board in 2008. In addition to representing sellers and developers in real estate transactions, Valentine Austriaco & Bueschel P.C., Chicago, handles landlord-tenant disputes, title insurance litigation, zoning and ordinance issues, construction litigation, and mortgage fraud. Aurora has a long history with ATG beginning in the early 1990s as a student working part-time in our Disbursement Accounting Department, then as law clerk, staff attorney, and other positions within the Legal Department before leaving ATG to enter the private practice. James HalleneJames N. Hallene, Treasurer
Jim was elected to the ATG Board in 2014. His considerable expertise has served ATG well in the areas of investor relations, new business development, and portfolio management. He is a founding partner of CapX Partners and the founder of Capital Concepts Holdings, LLC, both Chicago-based private equity investment firms. He has more than 30 years of experience in private banking, treasury management, and mortgage services. University of Illinois, B.S. New Board Member | Thomas M. Hundman

Tom Hundman photoTom has been an ATG agent since 2002 and is our newest Board member. He is the managing attorney of Frontier Title of Bloomington, Illiniois, where his team's efforts have made Frontier one of the most efficient and high-producing title service companies in Central Illinois. Prior to joining Frontier Title, Tom was an attorney at the Ritchie Law Office, Ltd., focusing his practice on real estate, general litigation, and creditor’s rights. Retiring Officer | William W. Austin

Bill Austin photoBill has been a guiding force and an active ATG agent attorney for decades, having joined in 1977 and being elected to the Board in 1986. His service included several committee posts, officer positions, and two terms as Chairman (2003-2008, 2016-2020). In his role as Chairman, Bill spearheaded important initiatives and guided ATG through many intricate situations, including 2020—the most challenging year in our history. Thanks largely to his efforts, we are in a strong position as we enter 2021.Bill is currently Of Counsel at McDevitt, Osteen, Chojnicki & Deters, LLC; and was previously a partner at Parker, Siemer, Austin, Resch & Fuhr, both in Effingham, Illinois. In addition to his long-term legal career, Bill was a Brigadier General in the Illinois National Guard (read more). In that role, he led the planning and training for the mobilization of troops under his command. Bill brought that same skill set to the leadership of our board. University of Illinois, J.D., B.S.
